Chad Criswell - Tracy Criswell

Chad Criswell is a professional educator and freelance technology writer for numerous online and print publications throughout the United States and Canada. He is a lifelong learner with a master's degree in educational technology from the University of Northern Iowa. His articles have appeared in prestigious national publications such as Teaching Music Magazine where he currently serves as Technology writer. He is also a regular contributor to Technology and Learning Magazine as well as to other print publications such as School Band and Orchestra and The Mississippi Bandmaster. He currently writes technology related content for several online web sites including serving as Computers and Technology editor at LestOut.com and as Computer Accessories Feature Writer here at Suite101.

Although his passion and profession is music education, his interests in the field of technology have led him to try his hand at a multitude of computer related topics. His personal web site draws in thousands of professional and amateur musicians each day to read numerous articles on music education and music technology topics. His expertise in the area of educational technology has led him to be asked to present on several occasions at the Iowa Bandmasters' Convention and the Iowa Music Educator's Conference. He currently serves as the State Technology Director for the Iowa Music Education Association and the Iowa Bandmaster's Association.

From writing educational software to directing and editing videos, from managing technology budgets to giving seminars on web design, and from designing and installing home theaters to designing and building complete computer systems he has dabbled in almost every area of computer technology.
